Walk through scenic landscape to see the crowning glory of the region – the shimmering blue Briksdal Glacier.

The Briksdal Glacier, located in Jostedalsbreen National Park, is part of the Jostedal Glacier Icefield – the largest glacier on the European mainland. Flowing 4,000 feet down the mountainside into the Briksdal Valley, this massive glacier is also one of Europe’s most spectacular. Through thick forested cliffs and past cascading waterfalls and sparkling lakes, you’ll find yourself face-to-face with one of Europe’s most spectacular ancient Glaciers. Standing in front of the ever-changing shades of blue and turquoise of this majestic wonder is an awe-inspiring experience.

 

Afterwards, walk back to the Briksdal Inn where refreshments of coffee, tea and cakes will be served. There will be time to browse the souvenir shop before boarding the coach back to Olden.
