Casting the Runes

You're invited to the edge of your seat, to the darkest corners of the night...

Edward Dunning is a scholar and a sceptic, but when he crosses paths with the mysterious Mr. Karswell, his life becomes a waking nightmare. Award-winning Box Tale Soup present their chilling show, Casting the Runes, an original adaptation of M.R. James' classic supernatural thriller, featuring remarkable puppetry and a haunting original soundtrack. Our advice? Don't come alone...

Carousel

To celebrate the 80th Anniversary of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel, the cast of Sydney Musical and Opera Society will make cruise line history as the first performance of the classic musical at sea.

The show was voted the best musical of the 20th Century by Times Magazine and has had sell-out shows on Broadway and the West End. The romantic and thrilling tale is set to sweep Cunard guests away.

Pride and Prejudice

When a host of eligible bachelors descend on the small community of Meryton, hearts are set racing, and the tranquil world of the Bennett family is sent into a whirlwind of passions and possibilities.

Central to all this excitement is one of the most famous love-stories of all time: the will-they-won't-they romance of the irrepressible Lizzie Bennett and enigmatic Mr Darcy.

Watson: The Final Problem and Appraisal

In Watson: The Final Problem, Watson is alone and tells his tale of long-buried secrets, betrayal and death; a journey across Europe pursued by Moriarty, the Napoleon of Crime, leading to a deathly embrace at the Reichenbach Falls.

Appraisal, the real-time comedy drama, follows an annual professional work review that goes horrible wrong. What follows is a power-play of manipulation, subtext and subterfuge.

I Wish My Life Were Like A Musical

Covering the journey from wide-eyed drama student to brattish diva or past-it chorus member, or bitter has-been (or never-was), this show lifts the lid on awful auditions, debiliating dance routines, mid-performance mishaps, backstage backstabbing, superfans and harsh critics - plus those magical moments that make it all worthwile.

We invite you to this comedic musical!

Opera Cocktail

OparaUpClose prsent Opera Cocktail. A heady cocktail of popular classics shaken with wit, stirred with drama, and served with a twist of ménage a trois.

Old friends meet on a summer afternoon and try to make a sense of life and love. Is it finally time to grow up?

Featuring music by Puccini, Mozart, Verdi and more, with sparkling English translations performed by the UK's brightest and best opera singers alongside clarinet.

Charlie and Stan

In 1910 the unknown Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel set sail on a Transatlantic Voyage from Southampton as part of Fred Karno's famous music hall troupe. On this journey, Charlie and Stan shared a cabin and then spent two years together touring North America, with Stan as Charlie's understudy. They both went on to change the world of comedy forever.

Stan Laurel, however, is not mentioned in Charlie Chaplin's autobiography once. So, what happened?

The Man Who Thought He Knew Too Much

Wes Anderson meets Hitchcock meets Spaghetti Western in this multi-award-winning, intercontinental, inter-genre, cinematic caper of accusations, accidents and accents.

The show follows Roger, a Frenchman in 1960's New York, whose routine life is upended when a minor delay saves him from an explosion. Thrust into chaos, Roger chases his would-be assassins around the globe.

A Christmas Carol and Christmas Gothic

There will be two matinee performances: A Christmas Carol and Christmas Gothic in the Royal Court Theatre.

A Christmas Carol, but not as you know it. Something for fans of A Christmas Carol, as well as the Scrooges themselves!

Christmas Gothic: Come in from the cold and enter into the Christmas spirit as a dark and spectral woman tells haunting tales of the festive season.
