Let Cunard’s 249th ship, Queen Anne, become your home from home in 2024 as you explore some of the world’s most enticing locations during her inaugural season. Whether you seek plentiful sea days to enjoy the ship or a voyage on which you’ll discover a new destination almost every day, Queen Anne’s maiden voyages will not disappoint.

Be part of the celebrations as she’s greeted in ports for the very first time and watch as the ship’s Captain and local Harbour Master take part in the traditional plaque exchange. With over 60 unique ports included in her maiden season, sailing on Queen Anne’s maiden voyages offers a chance to travel the world’s oceans in style, whilst turning heads in every new destination.

Lisbon, Portugal, Europe

The Maiden Voyage

 

First for Queen Anne is a 7-night voyage to Lisbon, taking in La Coruña along the way. When you’re not enjoying life on board Queen Anne during sea days, explore ancient Roman Architecture in La Coruña, or perhaps find a quaint eatery in which to sample the fresh seafood that the city is known for.

 

In Lisbon, along the riverfront you’ll find the UNESCO-listed Tower of Belém, built in the early 1500s. 

 

Other iconic experiences include Alfama (the oldest part of the city) and a ride on a vintage tram – route 28 is highly recommended. No Lisbon call would be complete without a traditional custard tart. While you’ll find these all over the city, Pastéis de Belém’s are rumoured to be the best.

The verdant mountains of La Palma, Canary Islands

The Canary Islands

 

Stunning scenery and a glorious climate are just two temptations of Queen Anne’s Canary Islands’ voyages in May, and later in November and December 2024. Famed for warm weather and lunar-like landscapes, the Canaries have been christened Europe’s ‘sunshine centre’ and five islands are a biocentre reserve.

 

If it’s volcanic scenery you’re seeking, Lanzarote’s park at Timanfaya will not disappoint, while sunbathers will adore Fuerteventura’s white sands. The 16th century San Cristóbal de La Laguna is highly recommended in Tenerife, while Gran Canaria’s capital, Las Palmas, offers sheltered waters, perfect for swimming.

Norwegian fjords

 

Known for its fjords, Norway is home to a remarkable coastline, peppered with tumbling waterfalls and vibrant forests. Queen Anne will sail a 7-night maiden voyage here in June 2024, calling at four unique ports. She’ll then return later in the year for three more voyages, when she’ll make maiden calls in a further six Norwegian ports.

 

Delight in the colourful wharf buildings that line the banks in Stavanger. Stroll pretty streets lined with art nouveau buildings in Alesund, and retrace the footsteps of Vikings as you sail mighty fjords that have remained unchanged for centuries.

The Mediterranean

 

Home to some of the world's oldest cities, the rich history of the Mediterranean is beyond compare. Yours to discover on Queen Anne in 2024, she’ll offer several Mediterranean voyages in her maiden season, with calls to Italy, Spain, and Portugal, as well as the captivating isle of Mallorca.

 

The atmospheric Las Ramblas and Gaudi’s architecture are just the pinnacle of Barcelona’s appeal. Cadiz, a compact gem brimming with history, is also the gateway to Seville’s equestrian displays and vast cathedral. Discover Portugal’s atmospheric capital Lisbon, fall for the gothic charms of Palma de Mallorca, and in Croatia, explore the ancient streets of Sibenik, thought to date back to the 11th century. 

British Isles

 

Discover something new in the UK, taking in highlights in Scotland, England, and Northern Ireland. Explore Edinburgh Castle, where the ancient Stone of Destiny is displayed, and from Invergordon make your way to Inverness in the Highlands, sampling buttery shortbread and local whiskies. 

 

Stroll through the quaint streets of Kirkwall, and from Greenock go to Glasgow to immerse in the cultural scene, which includes the Scottish Ballet and National Theatre of Scotland. In Northern Ireland, visit Titanic Belfast to learn about the infamous ship's conception, and in Liverpool, explore the history of Britain’s best-known band: The Beatles.

Northern Europe

 

Explore a variety of northern highlights including Hamburg’s vibrant atmosphere, and the clean interior design styles of Copenhagen’s bars and restaurants. Wander along cobblestone streets lined with pastel buildings in Tallinn, and in Sweden’s capital of Stockholm, ponder architecture that spans from classical 18th century style to the ultra-modern. 

 

Other ports include Helsinki, where modern city architecture and nature trials perfectly combine, and Skagen, the picturesque northernmost town of Denmark’s Jutland peninsula. Here look out for wildlife across the unique coastline, where the Baltic and North Seas meet.

Isafjordur, Iceland

In July, Queen Anne embarks on two voyages to the captivating shores of Iceland, where otherworldly landscapes and natural wonders abound. From Reykjavik, perhaps find time to explore the Golden Circle, comprising Thingvellir National Park, Strokkur Geyser, and Gullfoss Falls. Or maybe you’d prefer to head to the world-renowned Blue Lagoon for a blissful, unique experience.

 

Wander the bustling town of Akureyri, home to Iceland’s largest fishing company, perfectly framed by snow-capped mountains. Meanwhile, in Isafjordur, find yourself among bright green rolling meadows with no roads for miles, giving the illusion of stepping into unchartered territory.
