What qualifies as a last-minute cruise?

Last minute, or Late Saver, cruises are those that depart within 90 days. Cruises can also be booked fewer than 90 days before departure using the Cunard Fare. You can check which itineraries have the Late Saver fare available by using the ‘Special offers’ filter on our cruise finder .

How late can I book a last-minute cruise?

A cruise can be booked online as late as four days before departure - just enough time to get checked in online and pack your suitacase before you sail. The cruise must be paid for in full at the time of booking and is subject to a 100% cancellation fee. Cruise bookings can be made even later, up to one day before departure, by calling the Contact Centre.

Late cruise deal FAQs

Late Saver Fares apply to cruises departing within 89 days or less. It is less expensive than the Cunard Fare, and requires full payment at the time of booking. Booking a late saver fare gets you a pre-allocated stateroom and pre-allocated dinner seatings (for Britannia guests). Late Saver bookings are subject to a 100% cancellation fee, and booking amendments count as cancellation.

Cruises can also be booked within 89 days of departure using the Cunard Fare, which gives a choice of stateroom, and priority for upgrades, and priority for preferred dining choice (for Britannia guests). However as the booking is within 89 days, cancellations and amendments incur a 100% fee, as for Late Saver Fares.

Cruise prices are subject to change, so be sure to check itineraries often if you're looking to get a lower price. Often these are found with our Saver Fare cruises: Late Savers depart within 89 days and are fully payable at the time of booking, whereas Early Savers are booked further in advance, but allow you to submit a preferred stateroom location and (for Britannia guests) dining preference. You can also pay with a low 15% deposit for Early Saver cruises. Cruises are often available more than two years from sailing so you can plan well ahead, and save while you do so.
