There is no temporary or overnight parking provided at the Port of San Francisco cruise terminals. Private cars, taxis, and car-share vehicles are allowed to enter the ground transportation area for dropping off cruise passengers and luggage at the terminal hall entrance.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

The journey from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to the San Francisco Cruise Terminal typically takes 20-30 minutes by taxi or rideshare service (e.g., Uber or Lyft), depending on traffic. Taxi stands are available at all terminals at SFO airport, and wheelchair-accessible taxis are available upon request. For additional assistance, please contact airport staff.

Oakland International Airport (OAK)

If you're arriving at Oakland International Airport (OAK), expect a travel time of 30-45 minutes by taxi or rideshare to the cruise terminal, depending on traffic conditions.

If you are flying to join your cruise and book your flight with Cunard, you'll be met at your airport by Cunard representatives and transferred to your ship by coach.

San Francisco Transbay Terminal

If you're arriving by train to San Francisco, the Transbay Terminal serves as the main hub for intercity buses and regional rail services, including Caltrain commuter rail services. From there, the San Francisco cruise terminal at Pier 27 is a quick 5-10 minute taxi or rideshare ride.

Amtrak Rail 

If you're traveling with Amtrak intercity rail services, you will arrive at Amtrak’s San Francisco Station (located near the Embarcadero). From here, you can take a short 5-minute taxi or rideshare ride to the cruise terminal.

Subway and Public Transport

San Francisco is well-served by public transport, including the Muni bus and metro lines.

The F Market & Wharves historic streetcar line is a scenic and easy way to get to the cruise terminal, with the Embarcadero and Sansome Street stop located a couple of minutes' walk from the Pier 27 cruise terminal. 

Alternatively, catch a Muni Metro or Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) light rail service to Embarcadero Station. From here, it takes approximately 20 minutes to walk from the cruise terminal or you can catch the F Market & Wharves streetcar.

San Francisco Pier 27 cruise terminal provides complimentary Wi-Fi, a designated taxi drop-off area, and breathtaking views of both the Golden Gate Bridge and the Oakland Bay Bridge. While there are no food or beverage services available at the main terminal, its central location offers easy access to numerous dining, shopping, and entertainment options at Fisherman's Wharf, a short walk away.
