Sail4th - 250 Celebration

At Cunard, we have a deep-rooted connection to the United States and its rich maritime history. For over 185 years we’ve undertaken Transatlantic Crossings, and we’re thrilled that Queen Mary 2, the world’s only true ocean liner, will join this unforgettable moment in history, in 2026.

Docked in New York Harbour, on board Queen Mary 2 you’ll have unrivalled views of what’s sure to be something of a spectacle. Not only will this special event be the largest gathering of tall ships and naval vessels ever seen in the city, but a stunning military flyover will also fill the skies overhead. Be immersed in a world of classical music, brought to you by eminent maestro Anthony Inglis and the UK’s National Symphony Orchestra. With two unforgettable evening performances in the Royal Court Theatre, classical music lovers won't want to miss this special sailing.

On this voyage, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to learn about the world of classical music. You’ll get to know the celebrated and charismatic conductor that is Anthony Inglis, as he talks candidly about his career during Cunard Insights talks. Working with the UK’s National Symphony Orchestra, Inglis will coordinate two remarkable evening shows - one of these heroes American composers and the other is the Best of British. As you enter the glamourous Royal Court Theatre, you’ll be given a flag to wave wholeheartedly while you embrace the atmosphere and celebrate with the rest of the audience, experiencing the talents of Inglis and the musicians first hand. It’s truly a sight to behold.

A chance to join the choir and rehearse with the UK’s National Symphony Orchestra is another voyage highlight. You’ll then have the opportunity to join them on stage during the show at the end of the week, putting your own vocal strengths to the test.
