Britannia Balcony stateroom on board Queen Anne

Are there suites or staterooms that can accommodate a family?

Yes, it’s possible to book a suite or stateroom that has additional beds. As well as the main bed, which can be configured into a king-size, or twin beds, you could also have a double sofa bed, single sofa bed, and/or an upper, bunk-style bed. With these arrangements, a family of up to four can be accommodated. It’s also worth knowing that sofa beds will be made up and put away daily by your stateroom steward, meaning you don’t need to compromise on space during the day.

Should you be travelling with a baby (six months plus are permitted on board), it’s possible to request a travel cot at the time of booking too. Please note there is limited availability, so be sure to get your request in as early as possible.

Can I book adjoining staterooms for my family?

Yes, you can book two staterooms if you would like more space, or if there are more than four of you. We will do our utmost to ensure that your staterooms are next door to each other. Any children aged 12 and under need to stay in accommodation with an adult. Children aged 13 and over can share with an older child aged 16 or over. This might be the preferred option if you’re travelling with teenagers, so that they can enjoy their own space in a room next to your own.

Will there be space for everyone’s luggage?

When travelling with little ones – especially babies – it can sometimes feel like you need to bring everything but the kitchen sink. Luckily, there’s plenty of clever storage space in the suites and staterooms on board, so you don’t need to worry too much about where it’ll all go.

While your luggage allowance on board is not limited (you can bring as much as you like, as long as no one piece is over 23kg), if you’re travelling as a family, we suggest travelling a little lighter if you can.

What family-friendly facilities are in the rooms?

All suites and staterooms are equipped with a television on which you can watch a wide variety of films and programmes, many of which are family friendly. Queen Anne's staterooms are equipped with an interactive TV offering hundreds of movies and TV shows on demand.

If you choose a balcony stateroom, you’ll also enjoy the use of your own private, outdoor space. This can be ideal for families looking for a little more room to spread out in. Furnished with seating, your balcony could be a great place to relax and dine on a little room service – most of which is complimentary.

All the family are welcome on a Cunard Queen, and you’ll find our accommodation offers plenty of space, storage, and facilities. With a variety of options to choose from, you’ll find a space to suit whether you plan only to be in your suite or stateroom at the end of the day, or you can see yourself retreating to it as something of a sanctuary whenever you need a break.
