Children’s clubs

There are four complimentary children's clubs on board, each one tailored to suit a different age group. The Play Zone is for two to seven-year-olds, The Kids’ Zone is for eight to 12-year-olds, and The Teen Zone is for 13-17-year-olds. In addition, the Night Nursery is available in the evenings for babies and toddlers up to the age of 2.

All of our children's clubs are run by highly qualified staff who go above and beyond to make sure that your children have the time of their lives. Children can not only meet new friends of a similar age, but they can play with age-appropriate toys, take part in crafts and other activities, read books, or play games (board games, video games, and more).

Sessions in the children's clubs are available in slots. The morning session is usually 10.00am until 12.00pm, afternoon is 2.00pm until 5.00pm, and the evening session is 6.00pm until 11.00pm. You can book a session for your children when you’re on board via My Voyage, but they must be registered on My Cunard first, before you embark. You'll find more detail on how to do this in the children's clubs section.

Deck games

The outdoor games on board can bring a great opportunity for some family bonding time. Unleash your competitive side with a game of paddle tennis, or perhaps teach your child how to perfect their swing using the golf nets on Queen Elizabeth and Queen Anne. Other games you may find include shuffleboard, croquet, bowls, pickle ball, and giant chess. You could also try your hand at archery on Queen Anne, with a little help from an expert on board.

Organised activities

Your Daily Programme is delivered to your stateroom each evening, and is also viewable via My Voyage. It's packed with organised activities to suit all the family. From fast-paced Zumba or dance classes and skittles or deck game competitions to scavenger hunts that take you across the ship, there’s plenty to get involved with every day.

Swimming

If your child is one to make a beeline for the swimming pool, you’ll be glad to know that children are welcome in the Pavilion Pool on all ships. On Queen Mary 2 and Queen Anne, this pool has a retractable roof. Queen Mary 2 is equipped with a third pool, the Minnows Pool, which is designated specifically for families.

Why not head to the pool and use the opportunity to improve your childrens' confidence in the water, take a dip and play games to cool off in hot weather, or perhaps encourage them to practice their swimming techniques?

Anyone under the age of 16 using the pools must be supervised by an adult, at all times, and those below the age of seven are not permitted to use the whirlpools.

Pavilion Pool on board Queen Elizabeth

You’ll quickly find that there’s plenty for children of all ages to enjoy on a Cunard Queen. Part of the beauty of the complimentary children's clubs on board is that each member of the family gets the holiday they want and deserve. Little ones can have the time of their life making friends and playing games in the club, while parents can relax by the pool.

Take part in other activities like a cocktail masterclass or maybe a watercolour workshop. Pop along to Insight talks, or perhaps spend a little quality child-free time in the spa. Everyone will make new and exciting memories to be cherished, every day, on your Cunard cruise.
