What sorts of Shore Experiences are good for families?
There is a wide selection to choose from when it comes to finding family-friendly Shore Experiences. Depending on the age of your children, together you can enjoy some adrenaline-filled adventures or perhaps broaden their horizons in a new city. Here’s a small peek into the kinds of things you could do.
Something with animals
If your children love animals, you’ll find many opportunities to interact with them on a range of Shore Experiences. Teens might enjoy snorkelling, where they can get up close to colourful fish. How can I book a Shore Experience?
You can book Shore Experiences via My Cunard, before your voyage, and once you’ve embarked you can book via the on board app, My Voyage. Alternatively, you could visit the Shore Experience desk on board, where you can also talk to the team about recommendations for the family.
Do any Shore Experiences have age restrictions?
Yes, it’s important to check the information section of any Shore Experience you want to book on My Cunard or My Voyage or speak to the team on board. Age restrictions vary depending on the activity and depending on the rules of the local tour operator. You can expect the majority of the more active experiences like 4x4 jeep safaris, kayaking, and snorkelling, to have age restrictions.
Can I leave my children in the Children's Club and go ashore?
You can, but only if a responsible adult (aged over 18) in your party remains on board.
Are there reduced ticket prices for children?
Yes, most Shore Experiences have an adult ticket price and a lower price for children, but the costs vary depending on the Shore Experience. Infants under the age of two go free with an adult ticket.
