Sea of Glamour: Celebrating 185 years of ocean travel
Step into 185 years of magic, history, and unforgettable moments with Cunard’s Sea of Glamour Exhibition, curated by renowned photographer Mary McCartney.

This extraordinary global showcase will unveil never-before-seen images from Cunard’s archives, alongside guest photographs, capturing the glamour and prestige of ocean travel through the years. From Hollywood icons and royalty, including Elizabeth Taylor, Rita Hayworth, Bing Crosby and Queen Elizabeth II, to personal milestones and voyages of discovery, the exhibition will tell the story of Cunard’s remarkable legacy, spanning from the first transatlantic crossing in 1840 to today.
Guests worldwide have contributed treasured moments, from families emigrating to new continents to milestone celebrations on board Cunard’s legendary ships, creating a powerful visual history of life at sea. Thank you to everyone who has submitted an image and shared their story over the last few months. Submissions have now closed.
The Sea of Glamour Exhibition will launch at Liverpool’s iconic Liver Building on 28 May 2025, before setting sail around the world on board the Cunard fleet.
Join us as we celebrate nearly two centuries of maritime excellence, where every image tells a story and every journey is a part of history.
