Military Cruise Benefit Programme

Cunard is pleased to offer a special military on board credit benefit, available to retired and disabled veterans and serving military from the following service divisions:

• British Army
• Royal Navy
• Royal Air Force
• Reserves
• Royal Marines
• Merchant Navy
• Home Guard
• US Military

Military benefits can only be applied to a booking if you are registered with Defence Discount Service (the official Ministry Of Defence discount scheme) and have a Defence Privilege Card, which is a paid-for membership, or if you have suitable identification showing proof of serving in the US military.

The military benefits detailed on this page are applicable to our guests booking in the United Kingdom only.

Guests who have applied for the military benefit will receive on board credit (OBC), which can be spent on your ship during your cruise.

The amount of on board spending money per person is applicable for the 1st and 2nd guests only and depends on the duration of the voyage.

To apply for the military on board credit benefit, you will need to supply your Defence Privilege Card number or proof of US military identification to our Customer Contact Centre, either directly by phoning 0344 338 86480 (local call charges apply) or via your travel agent, quoting code HMU. 

Please note, the latest this benefit can be applied is 7 days before departure and it is not possible to apply the military benefit to your booking once you are on board.

You may also be asked to present your Defence Privilege Card at the check-in desk on the embarkation day, so please ensure you have this with you when travelling.

The military benefit is combinable with Cunard Fare, Early Saver fare, Late Saver fare (provided the benefit is applied at least 7 days before departure), promotional campaign fares, and on board booking benefits.

Military promotions are not combinable with partnership benefits, Tesco voucher bookings or friends and family promotions.
