In partnership with Champagne Laurent-Perrier

Originally founded in 1812, the House of Laurent-Perrier has been defined by its pioneering role in innovating champagne throughout history.

"There are two key factors to success. Put simply it is: quality of the people and quality of the product." - Bernard de Nonancourt.

The Laurent-Perrier portfolio consists of eight champagnes including Grand Siècle, which was originally launched in 1959 and blends three outstanding vintages to recreate the perfect year.

In 2018, Laurent-Perrier celebrated half a century of its Cuvée Rosé – the original “modern” rosé champagne - which was born in 1968 by defying conventions and using innovative wine-making techniques. The brand’s innovative spirit continues into the present day, with the recent launch of its latest champagne, a Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature.

When Bernard de Nonancourt took over Laurent-Perrier in 1948, he challenged the conventions of an industry whose most innovative years were a hundred years behind it.

He chose to focus on one grape, Chardonnay, injecting finesse and lightness into many Laurent-Perrier champagnes. These grapes are blended with Pinot Noir and sometimes Pinot Meunier, but they always predominate, and their flavour runs like a golden strand through all the maison’s cuvées – except of course Cuvée Rosé, which is made exclusively with Pinot Noir.

To celebrate this special partnership, we commissioned an exclusive illustration of Cunard's flagship Queen Mary 2 by much-loved artist Quentin Blake. His signature style is recognised globally and similar studies feature in the Laurent-Perrier 'Chosen by the Best ' campaign, including Corinthia London, The Ritz and The Royal Albert Hall.

There are many opportunities to savour Laurent-Perrier's timeless taste with Cunard.
