Cruises from Los Angeles
Cruises from Los Angeles in 2026 and 2027
From Los Angeles you can experience one of Cunard's famous World Voyage sectors, taking you to the other side of the globe to experience Pacific Islands and South African wildlife. Or sail south and east through the iconic Panama Canal to visit Mexico, Costa Rica, and lush Caribbean shores.
Los Angeles terminals and transport
The majority of Cunard Los Angeles departures are from the Los Angeles Cruise Terminal (World Cruise Center), which is in San Pedro. There is another terminal at Long Beach, so check your cruise itinerary and boarding pass to ensure you arrive at the correct place!
Facilities at the fully-accessible World Cruise Center terminals include bathrooms, passenger information and help desks, car rentals, and overnight and bookable long-stay parking. The port also offers a free shuttle service between the terminal buildings and the parking lots.
The Long Beach terminal has less extensive facilities, but does offer bookable parking and has good connections to local attractions and restaurants. The Cunard liner Queen Mary is also moored close by!
You can find out more about the cruise terminals on their website.
The largest and most commonly used airport for our Los Angeles cruise departures is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), however Long Beach Airport is also used and a very convenient connection for both cruise terminals.
Los Angeles International Airport
LAX is situated under 20 miles north of the World Cruise Center in San Pedro, a simple 35-minute drive along the freeway via taxi, rented car, private transfer, or coach transfer. Although travel times are relatively reliable, we always advise factoring in a little more time in case of traffic. There are also Metro connections, however these are less direct and take more time.
The Long Beach cruise terminal is a little further, 23 miles from LAX airport. Simply follow the signs to our very own Queen Mary!
Long Beach Airport
Long Beach Airport offers more domestic flights, and is conveniently located just 11 miles (a 15-20 minute drive) from the Long Beach cruise terminal and under 15 miles (20 minute drive) from the World Cruise Center.
If your fare benefits or flights package include a coach transfer, your coach will meet you outside your airport terminal and deliver you and your luggage straight to the cruise terminal.
Los Angeles Cruise Terminal (World Cruise Center)
Pre-bookable parking is available, with a free shuttle service between the car park and the terminal building (note the shuttle is not wheelchair accessible). A grey Metro J (bus) line stops at the terminal, offering a link to the wider Metro public transportation network. Taxis depart from the terminal, and a rideshare lot (for Uber and Lyft) is a short walk or shuttle ride away. If you arrive by coach transfer, the coach will pick up/drop off just outside the terminal.
Long Beach Cruise Terminal
Pre-bookable car parking is available at a daily rate, though several local hotels have park and sail packages which may be of use. Taxis are available from the terminal building, and the blue Metro A line has a station a short walk away. Carshare services such as Uber and Lyft are also available. If you arrive by coach transfer, the coach will pick up/drop off just outside the terminal.
