What to pack.

Wondering what to pack for your voyage? We’ve put together a guide to assist you in deciding what to wear for each occasion on your holiday. We hope our style guide will both help and inspire you.

One of the real pleasures of our ships is the balance between being relaxed and free to dress as you please during the day and the chance to sparkle in the evenings, whether dressing for dinner or the extra glamour of Gala nights.

During the day, you are welcome to relax and dress as you please in all areas of the ship. Then as the sun goes down, the style goes up. Every night on board, we ask that you wear smart attire in most of our bars, restaurants and entertainment venues.

On our much-loved Gala evenings, which are the highlight of the voyage for many, we invite you to dress to impress as the celebratory atmosphere and sense of occasion is heightened across the ship. There are two or three of these special Gala evenings for every seven days of your voyage. Of course, if you prefer to spend your evenings in more relaxed attire, a selection of casual dining and entertainment venues are always available for your enjoyment.

Evening style guide.

For those who want some help and guidance on what to pack, our style guide includes new ideas for your evening cruise wardrobe, including our Gala nights - and a little help on the finishing touches.

Smart attire.

Every night on board in most venues we ask that you wear smart attire. You can still dress to impress, yet with less formality than during our Gala celebrations.

Dressing for warmer climes.

During Queen Elizabeth's Australian voyages (14 December 2019 - 7 March 2020), we ask that gentlemen wear smart trousers and a collared shirt in the evening. Jackets are optional on these voyages, except for Gala evenings.

For ladies, blouses and skirts or stylish trousers and dresses are welcome.

Gala evening attire.

Two or three times during every seven nights on board, our Gala evenings (sometimes themed) encourage you to be at your most glamorous from when the clock strikes 6pm.

Relaxed evenings.

From time to time, not least after a rewarding discovery ashore, you might wish to round off the day in a more relaxed style. You’ll be pleased to know that many of our bars and lounges welcome you to unwind in more casual outfits during the evening but we do ask that guests refrain from wearing torn or tattered clothing, shorts, sandals or sleeveless t-shirts. Casual venues include: King Court, Lido Buffet, Golden Lion, Casino, Carinthia Lounge, Winter Garden, Garden Lounge, Yacht Club and G32.
